Aletras is a Berks County native, before heading to New York City where he led global strategies for organizations like Airbnb, MGM, W Hotels, and more in communications, marketing and events. He brings his immense 20 years of experience to the organization as it moves to the future with a bold, assertive, and creative approach to how and when Safe Berks serves the community.

Aletras previously held the position of community response specialist, where he served as an advocate in the community working with the three major medical facilities, the Children’s Alliance Center, Berks County Jail Systems, Kutztown University, Albright University and Penn State University – Berks Campus. As an advocate, he brought his compassion and empathy to work, educating people within the systems and communities as well as providing direct service to those in crisis.

“It is my personal mission to make sure this organization leads the state as one that thinks boldly and fights for those we serve without compromise. I look forward to bringing my global experience to the local level and making changes to the organization to better serve our communities,” Aletras said.

Aletras succeeds Mindy McIntosh who stepped down as director of development at the organization, effective Nov. 6.

Safe Berks provides services and support for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, and their family members and significant others.
