OLYPHANT — A woman and two children were transported to an area hospital after a second-floor balcony collapsed from the rear of a residence Sunday morning, borough Police Chief James DeVoe said.
Crews responded to the home at 518 Delaware Ave. around 9:30 a.m., DeVoe said.
The three patients were alert and conscious and appeared to have scratches and bruises, DeVoe added.
A male who tried pulling a child from the collapse also went to be checked out by a doctor, DeVoe added.
The borough’s code enforcement officer, Bill Shigo, was called to scene and will conduct an inspection of the structure, DeVoe said.
