DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A Pennsylvania State Police police corporal was nearly run over last week by a driver trying to flee a traffic stop in Harrisburg, according to court documents.
Court records show, Pennsylvania State Police charged three people – 26-year-old Anthony Reyes Pabon, 28-year-old Derrick Wright-Wilson, both of Harrisburg, and 22-year-old Leah Randolph, of Middletown – from the Nov. 13 incident.
The FBI, Dauphin County Drug Task Force and State Police spotted Reyes Pabon leaving from a Hunter Street home and getting into a red Mazda CX-5 just after 1 a.m. State Police said there were multiple felony drug and firearm warrants out for Reyes Pabon’s arrest.
Randolph, who State Police say was driving the Mazda, was pulled over in the 400 block of S. 17th Street near Derry Street in Harrisburg.
However, court documents show, Randolph tried to drive away from a traffic stop on the 400 block of S. 17th Street near Herry Street in Harrisburg.
State Police say the vehicle struck a Pennsylvania State Police Corporal, who then went onto the side of the vehicle and hung onto the passenger side door so he didn’t fall under the moving vehicle.
State Police say Wright-Wilson had to be forced out of the Mazda and noted there were two guns inside the vehicle that Reyes Pabon claimed were his. One gun was found under a seat, and the second one was thrown in the trunk by Reyes Pabon as the trio was being pulled over.
