COLE WEST, North Pocono
The junior had 84 yards rushing on 12 carries for two touchdowns, including the game-winner in a 40-36 win over Bishop Shanahan in the PIAA Class 4A first round. He also had three receptions for 49 yards to lead the Trojans to the first state playoff win in program history.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
KAYLIX DOUGLAS, Lackawanna Trail
The junior end had 10 total tackles, including seven in the first half, and forced two fumbles to lead the Lackawanna Trail defense in a 31-20 win over Line Mountain in the PIAA Class 1A first round. He also made the initial stop on a fourth-and-goal from the 6 in the third quarter that prevented the Eagles from closing to within 24-21 late in the third quarter.

The sophomore turned in a dominant effort as the Cavaliers took command of the line of scrimmage. He had a sack and forced a fumble that teammate Rickey Dewey returned for a touchdown. He was also part of an effort that limited Mifflinburg to 24 yards rushing on 17 carries in a 28-21 win in the PIAA Class 3A first round.

The senior had a 92-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in a 56-42 loss to Hollidaysburg in the PIAA Class 5A first round. He also had four other returns and totaled 183 yards. He had one for 10 yards, one for 30 yards, one for 24 yards and one for 27 to go along with his touchdown return.

The senior collected a tipped pass and returned it 75 yards for a touchdown that ended Line Mountain’s opening possession and spotted the Lions a 7-0 lead without having to run a play in a 31-20 win in the PIAA Class 1A first round.

ISAAC RYON, Lackawanna Trail
The senior ran for 145 yards on 16 carries and scored two touchdowns in Lackawanna Trail’s 31-20 win over Line Mountain in the PIAA Class 1A first round. He also kicked four extra points and made a 20-yard field goal, and contributed a key interception in the fourth quarter to halt an Eagles scoring threat.

North Pocono built a 21-7 lead with 7:06 left in the third quarter. Bishop Shanahan came back to tie it with two touchdowns in 47 seconds. Cole West gave the Trojans back the lead, 27-21. Bishop Shanahan took its first lead with a quick strike, 29-27. The teams traded scores, and Bishop Shanahan led, 36-33, with 2:14 remaining. The Trojans responded, and West scored the deciding touchdown with 45.4 seconds remaining.
