Abington Heights got goals from Joey Pivirotto and Nico Bustos and lockdown defense, led by Aiden Gardner and goalkeeper Billy Johnson, as it defeated Conrad Weiser, 2-0, in the PIAA Class 3A boys soccer championship game Saturday at Northeastern High School in Manchester.
It is the Comets first state championship in boys soccer, and first state title for a District 2 boys soccer team since Mountain View won the Class 1A crown in 2012.
