READING, Pa. — Authorities said a teenager has died following a stabbing in Reading on Friday.
The Berks County Coroner’s Office confirmed Monday that a 15-year-old, whose identity has not been released, died following Friday night’s incident near 10th & Green Elementary School.
Witnesses who spoke with 69 News said a group of what seemed to be teens were gathered at the location just prior to the incident.
Police confirmed they were investigating a stabbing at the location and that two people were taken to the hospital.
They declined to comment further on the incident, stating they aren’t releasing information at this time to protect the integrity of the investigation, which is ongoing.
