READING, Pa. – Berks Arts is getting its main stage ready for a big celebration of the blues.

The 8th annual Reading Blues Fest officially starts tomorrow, and crews were loading up the stage at the DoubleTree Hotel in Reading this afternoon.

There already have been some local music events. Last night, guests at Reading Liederkranz enjoyed a tribute to women in the blues.

One Berks Arts organizer says they’re changing things up for this weekend and she’s hearing a lot of excitement.

“We have a single show Friday, but Saturday is an all-day pass, so there’s four shows in one day on Saturday,” said Tish Davis with Berks Arts.

Tomorrow, the main events pick up with an opening show at Reading’s Peanut Bar at 11:30 a.m.

Also, Devon Allman, son of Gregg Allman of the Allman Brothers Band, will be performing tomorrow night.
