BETHLEHEM, Pa. – A destination for bargain hunters and budget-savvy shoppers is bidding farewell in Northampton County.
Happy Dollar & Discount, a discount store offering a wide array of housewares, personal care products, holiday décor and more, is tentatively set to close on Dec. 31 at 509 Wyandotte St. in Bethlehem, according to a store operator, who had no further comment.
A store closing sale is underway, with all items discounted 50% off their original prices.
“As many of you know, we are closing our store at the end of this year,” an announcement on the business’ Facebook page reads.
“We truly appreciate the love and support our customers have given us over the years. We are thankful for the wonderful opportunity, the experiences, and the memories we’ve shared while running Happy Dollar for the past ten years. It has been an honor serving our community. We will miss you all and wish you a safe, joyful, and blessed holiday season.”
Happy Dollar & Discount offers a wide array of goods, including housewares, kitchenware, hardware, electronics, auto products, cleaning products, health and beauty items, baby supplies, party supplies, stationery, picture frames and clothing.
Store hours are 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
