BERWICK, Pa. – Defending PIAA champion Northwestern heading to Berwick High School to take on District 2 titlist Scranton Prep in the Class 3A quarterfinals.
On the opening drive, the Tigers’ Braxton Lakatosh sets the tone, stepping in front for the interception and taking it back the distance 34 yards for the pick six.
The Cavaliers would answer, but with under four minutes to play in the first, Shane Leh hits Brady Zimmerman far sideline 11 yards for the touchdown to give Northwestern a lead it would not relinquish.
Leh would find Shane Hulmes for the 11-yard strike in the second quarter and add a 19-yard toss to a wide open Michael Lagowy with 18 seconds remaining until halftime.
Zimmerman would finish with three touchdowns on the night and the Tigers advance, 42-14.
