Erie Otters, Barrie Colts team up for childhood grief awareness

The Erie Insurance Arena set the stage Friday night to acknowledge childhood grief with a pre-game ceremony.

The Erie Otters and Barrie Colts both took part in the ceremony.

The moment of unity gave youngsters a chance to identify those they’re grieving for, while the audience did the same with signs to show them they’re not alone.

The Otters partnered with the Highmark Caring Place for the fourth year in a row for the game.

Also, the Barrie Colts have also taken up the cause.

They held their first Grief Awareness Night on November 1.
