Eric Karch, 53, of Jenkintown, was named one of 17 alleged child predators arrested through the Bensalem Police Department’s months-long investigation into internet crimes against children, NBC10 reported.
The ongoing investigation involved Bensalem detectives posing as children. Karch was arrested on September 11 in Bensalem after taking a SEPTA bus from his Jenkintown home to meet a person he believed to be a 13-year-old female.
Karch, a longtime employee of SEPTA, was categorized by police as a “traveler” alongside other suspected predators from West Chester, Mays Landing (NJ), Frederick (MD), and Philadelphia.
“Their intentions were clear to us in law enforcement,” Bensalem Police Director of Public Safety William said. “They traveled to a specific location at times with condoms or candy in their possession at the time of the arrest.”
