WARRINGTON, PA — Eureka Stone Quarry, Inc. will be conducting blasting activities at its Warrington Quarry on Easton Road on Monday, Nov. 24, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to a notice posted on social media by Warrington Township.
As mandated by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, all blasting activities will be monitored and conducted in accordance with all state and federal laws.
Before the detonations, depending on their proximity to Warrington, people may hear an air horn signal three bursts one to two minutes before a detonation. Following the inspection of the blast area, a single 10-second air horn signal will be sounded.
Adverse weather conditions, equipment breakdowns, personnel illnesses and other unforeseen issues may make it necessary, in the interest of safety, to conduct unscheduled blasting operations on occasion.
