Berks Ballet Theatre’s Sugar Plum Fairy Tea Party was held Sunday at the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts in Reading in advance of its performance of “The Nutcracker.”

The event offered a special preview performance of “The Nutcracker,” story time, and meet-and-greets with costumed characters, including the Sugar Plum Fairy.

The ballet company’s 50th anniversary season officially started with this annual event to get families in the holiday spirit.

The company will perform “The Nutcracker” with shows Dec. 20 at 1 and 6 p.m., and Dec. 21 at 2 p.m. at Kutztown University’s Schaeffer Auditorium. Tickets are available at BerksBalletTheatre.com.
