ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Allentown Parking Authority said Monday free parking will be available at two of its downtown parking decks on Saturdays during the holiday season.

Complimentary parking will be offered at the Community Deck and 940 Deck on the following Saturdays: November 29, December 6, December 13, and December 20, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to a news release from the APA.

The parking authority says any Transient ticket pulled after 8 a.m. and scanned at the exit before 4 p.m. will be allowed free exit on the posted days.

The APA says the Community Deck is located at 13 South Sixth Street, and the 940 Deck at 940 West Hamilton Street.

The initiative is part of the APA’s effort to support local businesses and encourage residents and visitors to enjoy downtown Allentown’s shops, restaurants, and holiday events, according to the news release.
