Duryea Lions Club donations: Duryea Lions Club is sending a mailer asking for help in funding many projects, including arranging and maintaining the colorful LED Christmas lights and decorations on both Main Streets and at the corner of Main and Stevenson streets. Lions also will use donations to assist other programs the club sponsors, including youth programs, food certificates provided to churches for those in town who are in need, civic organizations, diabetes research/treatment, Lions Club International Foundation, veterans organizations, Lions of 14W Foundation, sight conservation/research, Beacon Lodge 500 Club and Camp, Leader Dogs for the Blind, Lions of PA Foundation, PA Lions Hearing Foundation, District 14W Vision Foundation, Lions street signs and scholarships to graduating students from Duryea who attend Pittston Area, Holy Cross, Holy Redeemer, Scranton Prep and Wyoming Seminary.
