The winners of Reading’s Holiday Parade competition have been announced.
The parade showcased a wealth of talent and creativity, according to a release announcing the winners and thanking the participants.
Participants competed in three categories: marching bands, performance and floats.
The following winners were announced:
Best band
• Reading High School Marching Band
• Twin Valley High School Band
• Wyomissing Junior/Senior High School Marching Band
Best performance
• Millersville University Dance Team
• Roxy’s Dance Expressions
• Reading High School Dance Team
Best float
• Reading Area Water Authority
• Arrows Christian Academy
• Rajah Shrine Hospital Services Unit
The city added a special thank you to judges: Todd Migliaccio, vice chancellor and chief academic officer, Penn State Berks; Erica Caceres, advancement communication coordinator, Albright College; and Payton Mentzer, council of trustees, Kutztown University.
City officials commended the winners and all participants for their outstanding contributions to making the parade a success.
“Your dedication and creativity truly brought the holiday spirit to life,” the city said in a release. “Congratulations to all.”
