Three Mid-Penn Conference field hockey players were named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Pennsylvania regional first team Tuesday.
The NFCHA, in a press release, named Liberty Olivetti of Mechanicsburg, Chase Strohm of Lower Dauphin and Maddie Stahl of Palmyra to its Pennsylvania all-regional first team.
The association’s all-region teams are made up of student-athletes that represent the highest level of field hockey players in their region with regard to the nominating criteria.
The high school field hockey landscape is separated into 10 separate regions: Massachusetts, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, New Jersey, New York, Northern New England, Pennsylvania, South, Southern New England, and West.
A region’s team size is contingent on the number of institutions (collegiate) or NFHCA members (high school) within their region.
The second team includes Kendall Longenberger of Boiling Springs and Leigha Kane of Palmyra.
The NFHCA High School All-American team will be announced Tuesday. Dec. 9, the organization said.
