SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — At Monday night’s Sioux City City Council members voted to postpone the second reading of rezoning at 3700 Jefferson Street.

The rezoning was going from general commercial to general industrial.

The petitioner said he asked for a one-week deferral due to possibly having a couple of other options going.

He previously asked for the 30 acres of land to be rezoned to allow for industrial development of the area.

City Council denied rezoning the land back in 2024 for Knife River’s Expansion Project.
