South-Central Pennsylvania to see much colder, blustery Thanksgiving

MORNING, A OKAY. OUR NEWS EIGHT STORM TEAM FORECAST TODAY CALLS FOR TEMPERATURES WARMING UP TO 52 DEGREES BY 9:00. THAT’S WARMER THAN OUR AVERAGE HIGH. YOU KNOW IT’S GOING TO BE WARM WHEN YOU SEE THAT 62 ON THE MAP THIS AFTERNOON. THERE COULD BE A FEW SHOWERS LATE AFTERNOON INTO THE EVENING AS A COLD FRONT COMES THROUGH. AND THAT’S THE COLD FRONT PACKING THE COLDER AIR FOR THANKSGIVING AND BLACK FRIDAY. SO TONIGHT WE FALL TO THE UPPER 30S WITH A BRISK BREEZE 10 TO 20MPH. THAT’S GOING TO MAKE IT FEEL LIKE THE UPPER 20S. AND TOMORROW THOSE WIND CHILLS. THEY DON’T GET OUT OF THE UPPER 20S. WE’LL HAVE A HIGH OF 40. A 20 DEGREE DROP FROM TODAY WITH MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES AND SOME BREAKS OF SUN IN THE AFTERNOON. HERE’S THE CURRENT. IT’S 48. IN LEBANON WE HAVE 42 IN LANCASTER, 45 FOR CHAMBERSBURG AND 46 DEGREES IN CARLISLE. OUR WIND SPEEDS STARTING TO PICK UP IN A FEW SPOTS, AND THAT BODES WELL FOR THE FOG. HELPING THAT TO CLEAR. SO WE WILL KEEP YOU POSTED THROUGH THE NEXT COUPLE OF HOURS AS THAT FOG GRADUALLY PEELS BACK OUT OF HERE. IN ADDITION, YOU MIGHT RUN INTO A FEW SHOWERS NORTH OF THE PA TURNPIKE. RIGHT NOW THERE’S A WEAK BOUNDARY OVERHEAD, BUT THAT STRONGER COLD FRONT. IT’S BACK HERE TOWARDS CHICAGO, DETROIT, CINCINNATI. THAT’S THE ONE THAT COMES THROUGH LATE THIS EVENING AND TONIGHT ACROSS THE NATION. FAIRLY QUIET TRAVEL WEATHER, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE SHOWERS ALONG THE EAST COAST, UPPER PENINSULA OF MICHIGAN UNDER A BLIZZARD WARNING FOR COLD, WINDY CONDITIONS AND SNOWY CONDITIONS. BUT THE REST OF THE COUNTRY IS LOOKING RATHER TAME FOR TRAVEL ON THIS BUSY TRAVEL DAY. SO IF YOU’RE TRAVELING REGIONALLY TODAY, WE’LL SEE MORNING CLOUDS, SOME BREAKS OF SUN LATE MORNING INTO THE AFTERNOON. BUT HERE COMES THAT STRONG COLD FRONT WITH A COUPLE OF SHOWERS ALONG IT. I THINK THAT TIMING FOR THOSE WOULD BE ABOUT 3 TO 6 P.M., WEST TO EAST. AND THEN BEHIND THAT THE TEMPERATURES START TO FALL. THE WINDS PICK UP AND YOU WILL FEEL THAT COLD. THAT BIG CHANGE ON THANKSGIVING. IT IS A DRY DAY FOR US ON THANKSGIVING. A DRY BLACK FRIDAY. WE’LL GET MORE SUNSHINE THERE, BUT BOY, IT’S INEFFECTIVE SUNSHINE. IT’S NOT GOING TO WARM US UP BECAUSE WIND CHILLS FRIDAY MORNING. THEY’RE GOING TO BE IN THE TEENS FRIDAY AFTERNOON. WIND CHILLS BARELY GET TO THE UPPER 20S, MAYBE MID 20S. A GOOD BET FOR MOST OF YOU. AND FRIDAY EVENING RIGHT BACK DOWN THERE INTO THE LOWER 20S FOR CHILL. SO THAT MAKES FRIDAY AN IMPACT DAY. IN ADDITION, WE COULD SEE SOME GUSTS UP TO 40MPH. WINDS SETTLE DOWN QUICKLY ON SATURDAY. IT’S A DRY DAY. SUNDAY WILL BRING BACK THE CHANCE FOR SOME RAIN SHOWERS AND THEN TUESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY WE’RE LOOKING AT A CHANCE FOR SOME RAIN OR SNOW SHOWERS. WE’LL KEEP YOU POSTED. THAT’S BEEN A CHANGEABLE FORECAST. WE’
