A popular restaurant chain in central Pa. announced Thursday it is closing three locations.
Isaac’s Restaurants will close its Lancaster City, South York and Ephrata restaurants this year.
The chain said the Lancaster City location will close on Oct. 25, South York on Oct. 26, and Ephrata on Nov. 30.
In a press statement, Isaac’s attributed the closures of its Craft Kitchen & Brewery locations to several factors, including its sales and the restaurants’ close proximity to other Isaac’s locations.
It also blamed the “broader impact of inflation and interest costs on both our guests and Isaac’s.”
Isaac’s said the changes will allow it to invest and update its 10 other restaurants.
Isaac’s CEO Mike Weaver said employees have been offered positions at other restaurants.
“We appreciate the thousands of guests who have visited these locations over the last 20+ years and hope that they can continue to visit us at other nearby locations,” he said.
Gift cards and loyalty points can be used at all Isaac’s restaurants.
Isaac’s was founded more than 40 years ago in Lancaster, serving sandwiches named after birds.
It joins other local restaurant closures announced in recent weeks, including Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant’s Chapter 7 bankruptcy.
