Dr. David Holbrook, 70, of Bloomsbury, New Jersey, is facing 9 counts of unlawfully distributing and dispensing controlled substances.
According to an indictment, Dr. Holbrook, a licensed psychiatrist, prescribed Adderall and Xanax to multiple patients between January 2021 and September 2022.
The prescriptions were found outside of the usual professional practice and not for legitimate medical purpose. If convicted, Holbrook faces a maximum sentence of 20-years in prison and a $1 million fine on each count.
