The missing persons case that occurred between Jan. 6 through to Jan. 7, 1981, has finally been solved.
The victim, Lonene Rogers, 29, of Saegertown, PA was reported missing to the Pennsylvania State Police on Jan. 7, 1981. Clinton Rogers, the victim’s husband, told the authorities that he and the victim had an argument the night before her disappearance.
The next morning Clinton woke and found that Lonene was not at the residence. All of her belongings were left behind, and her children also remained at the residence.
The night that Lonene disappeared a severe snowstorm occurred in the area. None of Lonene’s close friends or family had been in contact with her since the day of the disappearance.
Family and friends were in agreement that she would have not left the residence willingly without her children. Numerous searches were done at the residence and for the victim throughout the years with nothing coming up. Until Nov. 26, 2025, almost 44 years later.
Clinton Rogers admitted to killing Lonene. He was taken into custody and has been charged with Criminal Homicide and related offences. He is now incarcerated within the Indiana County Jail.
