ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Authorities are releasing more information about the pedestrian struck and killed by a tractor trailer earlier this month in Allentown.

46-year-old Luis A. Cruz of Allentown died Wednesday at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest due to complications from blunt force injuries. The manner of death was ruled accidental. 

Those injuries were sustained a week prior in a November 21 pedestrian accident in the 700 block of W. Linden Street.

A news release from the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office states Cruz was a pedestrian that was struck by a tractor-trailer that was reportedly backing up. 

The accident remains under investigation by both the coroner’s office and Allentown Police.Â
