PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department has issued a consumer alert for Christos Mediterranean Grille, on Sixth Street, Downtown, for numerous health code violations.

During an inspection on Wednesday, live roaches were observed near hand sink between kitchen and dining room and on walls of kitchen. Roaches observed in several different instars. Several dead German roaches were found on sticky traps in basement.

Large amounts mouse droppings were found along the walls in the basement and on the lower shelving in the kitchen.

A heavily decomposed mouse skeleton was found on a sticky trap in the basement.

A restaurant with a consumer alert placard is allowed to operate for a temporary period not exceeding 10 days. Another inspection is conducted either prior to the expiration of the temporary period upon request of the eatery owner or on the tenth day.
