The Chicago Bears rolled up 281 rushing yards in beating the Philadelphia Eagles 24-15 on Friday afternoon.

Chicago running backs Kyle Monangai had 130 yards and one touchdown on 22 carries and D’Andre Swift had 125 yards and one touchdown on 18 carries against Philadelphia.

Over the previous 50 seasons, the Eagles had yielded more rushing yards in only one game. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers ran for 283 yards in a 45-17 victory over Philadelphia on Nov. 22, 2015.

Chicago had two 100-yard rushers in the same game for the fifth time in franchise history and for the first time since Nov. 10, 1985, when Walter Payton ran for 107 yards and Matt Suhey ran for 102 yards in a 24-3 victory over the Detroit Lions.

The Philadelphia defense became the fifth in franchise history to yield 100 yards to two opposing ball-carriers in the same game. Most recently, Mike Anderson ran for 126 yards and Tatum Bell ran for 107 in the Denver Broncos’ 49-21 victory over Philadelphia on Oct. 30, 2015.

After the Eagles cut Chicago’s lead to 10-9 (and missed the extra point to tie the game) with 8:05 left in the third quarter on Friday, Philadelphia got as far as the Bears 12 on its next possession before losing a fumble.

Chicago responded with a 12-play, 87-yard touchdown drive that featured 10 rushing attempts. The two passes accounted for 13 yards, but one was a 7-yard completion from quarterback Caleb Williams to tight end Colston Loveland on fourth-and-5 from the Eagles 37-yard line.

Hurts threw touchdown passes to wide receiver AJ Brown of 33 yards as Philadelphia cut Chicago’s lead to 10-9 with 8:05 left in the third quarter and 4 yards as the Eagles reduced their deficit to 24-15. After the first touchdown, kicked Jake Elliott missed the extra point.
