EASTON, Pa. – It’s starting to look like a winter wonderland in Northampton County.

Easton Centre Square has transformed into the city’s Winter Village, a holiday market with dozens of vendors.

“I’m literally running around this morning trying to get all the last-minute things together,” said Jeffrey Wetzel with Mad Catter Coffee Roasters.

Inside a holiday-themed hut, you’ll find Wetzel whipping up brews and blends for the first time in downtown Easton.

“I spent a lot of time trying to perfect my hot chocolate recipe, because I thought competition was going to be stiff out here,” said Wetzel.

Except it’s all in good fun, for the most wonderful time of the year.

More than 30 vendors are creating a winter wonderland in Centre Square.

‘Tis the season for the holiday market’s visits with Santa, movie showings, trolley rides, live music and more.

Inside the village, Ashley Melchionna’s “Bellisma by Ashley Maria” hut is glistening with gift for the fourth time.

“We have everything from jewelry to gloves and hats to chapsticks,” said Melchionna. “The City of Easton does a lot to support the vendors and the merchants.”

A short walk around the Easton Peace Candle and you’ll find Eric and Kori Stevens setting up shop for the second year, adding personal touches to every purchase.

“Our main focus is the Lazy Susan. Everything that we find is like on the beach or our vacation, we bring them home and put them in, like, the seashells, and it’s all stuff that we find instead of buying,” said Kori Stevens with Rosmic Resin and Designs.

It’s just the beginning of shopping, gift giving and holiday magic in the city.

“It’s going to be exciting. I just am so looking forward to seeing all the vendors actually moved in and everything open. I think it’s going to be a lot of fun,” said Wetzel.

The village is open Friday’s from 4pm to 8pm, Saturday’s from 12pm to 8pm and Sunday’s from 12pm to 5pm until December 21st.

The Easton Peace Candle lighting ceremony is Saturday at 6:30pm.
