EASTON, Pa. – The peace candle is shining bright and the holiday spirit is on full display in downtown Easton.
“Another year for the holiday season, that’s what it marks,” said Tony Klapatch, of Easton.
It was Klapatch’s fifth peace candle lighting Saturday night.
“So great honestly, so energetic, just amazing. I don’t know how to describe it in words. When you look up at the candle and see it, it’s amazing,” said Klapatch.
The peace candle is in the center of Easton’s Winter Village which features multiple local small businesses.
It is a tradition Allison said she is sharing with her cousins who traveled in from Atlanta.
“I’ve basically been coming here since I was really little and I really love to look at like the vendors and stuff that are here,” said Allison.
For Sherisse Brown, it was her first time here.
“I’m definitely in the holiday spirit,” said Brown.
“It’s definitely family fun for the kids,” said Michael Wilson.
It is a holiday environment Adi Kovatch said reminds her of a movie.
“It was really cool. I like the countdown, I like the singing,” said Kovatch.
“I mean it’s good. It only gets better. Definitely, it’s welcoming,” said Delilah Nugent.
A welcoming sight shining bright for all to enjoy this holiday season.
“Every year it’s incredible. I mean you can’t miss it,” said Klapatch.
Easton’s winter village runs until December 21st.
