A weather alert was issued by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 10:06 a.m. for gusty winds until 2 p.m. for Westmoreland Ridges, Fayette Ridges and Higher Elevations of Indiana as well as Mercer, Venango, Forest, Lawrence, Butler, Clarion, Jefferson, Beaver, Allegheny, Armstrong, Washington, Greene, Westmoreland, Fayette and Indiana counties.
“A cold front moving through the area this morning will result in breezy conditions through early afternoon, with peak gusts as high as 35-45 mph behind the front. Secure outdoor objects, especially holiday decorations,” according to the weather service.
