A man has been hospitalized, police said, after being involved in a crash that left a vehicle resting on its side in the middle of a South Philly street early Sunday.

According to police, the incident happened when a vehicle was involved in a crash along the 2300 block of Passyunk Avenue in South Philadelphia, just after 3 a.m. on Sunday morning.

A man, officials said, who was injured in this crash was taken to a nearby hospital. Though, contacted early Sunday, police did not immediately provide the severity of this individual’s injuries.

Cameras at the scene captured images of a vehicle stuck on its side following the crash.

However, police did not immediately say what caused the crash or how many vehicles may have been involved.

An investigation into the crash, police say, is ongoing.
