ERIE, PA — The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Southern Erie County, including Edinboro, Corry and Union City.

Lake effect snow is expected with accumulation between 2 inches to 4 inches. Wind gusts are expected as high as 35 mph.

Roads will be impacted, becoming slippery and snow-covered with reduced visibility.

Moderate to heavy snow is expected south of Lake Erie between 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. with lake effect snow bands continuing overnight.

The advisory remains in effect from 6 p.m. Sunday until 7 a.m. Monday.

PennDOT and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission reminds drivers to slow down and use caution while driving.
