WASHINGTON – Local astronaut and businessman Jared Isaacman, who’s once again in the running to lead NASA, will be back on the hot seat on Capitol Hill this week.

He’ll appear before a Senate committee on Wednesday as part of the confirmation process.

This is a repeat of what Isaacman went through in the spring, but then President Trump withdrew his nomination.

Trump re-nominated Isaacman in October.

Isaacman is the founder of Lehigh County based payment processing company Shift4.

He’s also commanded two private, all-civilian space missions that he funded.
