BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —Since 1977, the Bensalem Township School District has doled out tax rebates to senior citizens totaling over $3 million.
Tax rebate forms are now available through the school district’s program.
The school district is offering property tax relief of up to $1,050 for township senior citizens to help offset the high cost of living for those on fixed incomes.
Property tax assistance forms for qualified Bensalem Township senior citizens are available on the school district’s website at www.bensalemsd.org/seniortaxrebate/, and at the Dorothy D. Call Administrative Center, 3000 Donallen Drive, the Bensalem Senior Citizens Center, 1850 Byberry Road, and the Township Tax Office, 3750 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem.
To qualify, residents must:
Reach the age of 65 by Dec. 31, 2024Have an annual household income of less than $22,500 (includes reporting 50 percent of Social Security or Railroad Retirement benefits, and 100 percent of any other income).
