BETHLEHEM, PA. – The ‘Canes tipped off league play against one of their city rivals, Bethlehem Catholic. The matchup pinned student against teacher as Nigel Long took on his college coach, Scott McClary.

Beca works it around to Parker McClary on the wing for three as time winds down in the first. McClary would finish with 17 points on the night. The Hawks down 32-19 at the break.

Dylan Bilger was all over for Liberty as he put up 16 points on the night.

Ty Lewis feeds Jackson Wickenheiser in the corner for three, keeping Beca in the game. He led all scorers with 21 points. The Hawks down 46-36 after three.

After a big block by Liberty’s Quin Lucas-Bishop, Jake Pukszyn takes it in for the layup, part of his team high 17 points. Pukszyn’s now 37 points away from 1,000.

The Canes win the Battle of Bethlehem, 62-50.
