Jackie Brown scored 13 points, including seven in the fourth quarter, to lead No. 2 Dunmore to a 57-44 win over No. 6 Valley View in a girls nonleague game Monday night.
Amanda Dempsey contributed 12 points, including three 3-pointers in the second half, and Janaya Martin had 11 points for the Lady Bucks (1-0).
Cora Castellani led Valley View with 13 points. Sadie Cardini had 11 points, and Mady Minelli added 10 for the Cougars (1-1).
Crestwood 63, Scranton 41: Jackie Gallagher scored 24 points to lead the Comets past No. 5 Scranton in a nonleague game.
Charlie Hiller contributed 16 points, and Keira Dougherty had 11 points for Crestwood in its season opener.
Chrissy Jacklinski led Scranton (0-1) with 25 points. Rhylee Bell added 10 points for the Lady Knights.
Boys basketball
Cameron Williams scored 15 points to lead host Carbondale Area to a 55-24 win over Forest City in the semifinals of the Jerry Finan Tournament in boys basketball.
Cole Becchetti added 14 points, Francisco Roman added 11 and Jack Moran had 10 for the Chargers (1-0), who will play defending champion Honesdale in the final Wednesday at 8 p.m.
Jaxon Owens scored seven points to lead Forest City (0-2), which will play West Scranton in the consolation game at 6:30 p.m.
Honesdale 54, West Scranton 47: Jacob Ramos scored 16 points to lead the defending champion Hornets into the final of the Jerry Finan Tournament at Carbondale Area High School.
Gavin Briggs scored 15 points and hit three 3-pointers and went 6 for 6 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter for Honesdale (1-1). Levi Martin scored 11 points for the winners.
Jahmeir Rivera scored 12 points, and Lucio Ridore added 11 for West Scranton (0-2).
Riverside 75, Nativity BVM 43: Nico Antoniacci followed up his 53-point first half in the season opener by scoring 40 points in a nonleague win for the second-ranked Vikings.
Antoniacci had 22 points as Riverside opened up a 42-21 lead at the half.
Brayden Rose and Michael Schimelfenig each added nine points for the Vikings (2-0).
Nick Clark scored 15 points, and Jake Bowman added 10 points for Nativity BVM (0-1).
Northeast Bradford 61, Blue Ridge 46: Clay Wilks scored 16 points, and Cooper Brown added 13 to lead Northeast Bradford (1-0) past the Raiders in a nonleague game.
Travis Rutter paced Blue Ridge (0-1) with 13 points, and Landon Bishop had 11.
Lehigh Valley 63, Mountain View 23: Anthony Anzcuidiaz and Anders Heiney each scored 17 points to lead the winners in the consolation game of the Mountain View Tip-off tournament.
Hudson Bain scored 13 points to lead Mountain View (0-2).

Trinity Lord, Dante Tanzini, Aidan Tanzini, Donovan Baldwin and Torin Fissel each had a pin to lead Blue Ridge to a 45-25 nonleague win over Mid Valley.
