The Pittsburgh Steelers will not have to face edge rusher Trey Hendrickson on Thursday, as he will be out with a hip injury suffered against the Green Bay Packers.
He missed the second half of the game, where the Packers started to move up-and-down the field on the Bengals defense.
Rookie pass rusher Shemar Stewart is expected back with after missing time with an ankle injury, but losing Hendrickson would be another setback.
Hendrickson led the NFL in sacks in 2024 and already has four this season. He has been a Pro Bowler in each of the last four seasons since joining the Bengals from the New Orleans Saints, and the Bengals have built their defense around him.
Cincinnati is in a spot where this game has become nothing short of a must-win game for that team considering they are 2-4, and the Steelers have already lengthened their AFC North lead with a win over the Cleveland Browns at Acrisure Stadium on Sunday.
As a result, they have elevated edge rusher Isaiah Foskey from the practice squad. Foskey, a former second-round pick by the New Orleans Saints in 2023 NFL Draft out of Notre Dame, will get a chance to showcase what he can do to the Bengals.
