Quaker Notemeal
The No. 1 ranked Quakers enter Wednesday’s match with an undefeated 5-0 record, most recently defeating No. 4 Virginia, 7-2. The Quakers have a combined 51-2 record this season, sweeping four of five opponents to begin the season. Senior captain Omar Hafez has won each of his first four matches in the first position of the lineup. Junior Salman Khalil has also had a terrific start to the season, 3-0 in the second and third positions of the lineup. Freshman Will Newman has been impressive to say the least in his first season with the Quakers, tied with Hafez, Zane Patel and Jat Tse with a team-leading four wins. Senior Rehan Luthra had perhaps the most impressive win against the Cavaliers on Sunday, coming back from a 2-1 game deficit and winning 3-2. If Penn emerges victorious against the Dragons, they will be crowned the Pennsylvania State Classic champions.

Previewing the Dragons
The No. 6 Dragons pose another test for the Quakers as one of the top teams in the nation. The team has begun 4-0 and moved up two spots in the College Squash Association’s rankings after their 6-3 win over sixth ranked Princeton last Saturday. Guido Lindner had an impressive 3-0 win in the second position against Princeton’s Avi Agarwal. Lindner also secured a victory in the first position of the lineup against Chatham’s Sebastian Vaca Sanchez. Freshman Nico Serna has had an impressive start to his first season as a member of the Dragons with two wins in the top position of the lineup.
