NAZARETH, Pa. – Individuals seeking top-notch care for their canine companions and feline friends will soon have a new facility to frequent in Northampton County.
Velvet Tails, offering luxury grooming services for dogs and cats, will hold a grand opening event 1:30-2:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, at 39 Belvidere St., Unit 1, in Nazareth.
The event, presented by the Nazareth Area Chamber of Commerce, will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 2 p.m.

The salon’s ownership team – professional pet groomers and pet stylists with more than 20 years of combined experience in the industry – offers advanced styling services in a low-stress environment.
Care is personalized, and premium tools are utilized to offer breed-specific and stylized cuts.

Velvet Tails offers calm, one-on-one dog grooming – with minimal to no kennel time, and individuals can choose the package that fits their pet and lifestyle.
Visits last between an hour and two hours based on chosen package, and package pricing varies based on included services.
For example, a “Serenity Shower” bath and brush package, featuring “everything your pet needs to feel refreshed,” starts at $60, while a “Velvet Tails, Toes and Nose” bath and haircut package, offering the “ultimate glow-up” for your pet, starts at $80.
The Velvet Tails Toes and Nose package includes a blueberry facial, aromatherapy-infused warm bath, hydrating and soothing shampoo, deep conditioning treatment, paw balm treatment and paw massage, teeth brushing and breath freshener, ear cleaning, nail trimming/buffing and filling, specialized haircut consultation, face and feet trim and basic full body haircut and styling, finishing fragrance mist and accessory.
Certified cat groomers have specialized training in feline behavior, stress-free handling and coat-care techniques that keep cats calm and comfortable.
Appointment only services allow the team to stagger nervous cats and dogs, and dividers are used to block visibility of other pets.
Grooming professionals read each pet’s body language and offer breaks as needed, ensuring every dog and cat feels safe and relaxed.
A “Velvet Paw” bathing experience, starting at $80, includes light double-brush and de-shedding, deep-cleansing bath, warm towel wrap, teeth brushing, nail trim and paw balm, feet trim and sanitary trim, ear cleaning and eye wipe, light comb-out and fluff dry and fragrance mist.
