A deer spray painted in fluorescent orange wandered into a Lebanon County business. The deer has the word “PET” written in bright orange paint on both sides of its body. “He had no fear of anyone that was around and acted like it wanted the on-scene officer to pet it,” Cornwall Borough police said. “Nor did he run when the Officer activated the sirens on the cruiser.”The deer hung around the scene for about 45 minutes until it went on its way, according to police. The state game warden responded to take a report of the incident and indicated that the deer was most likely someone’s pet that got too big and was let loose into the wild. The warden believes the owner spray painted it to keep it safe from hunters. Officials noted that keeping a deer as a pet is illegal in Pennsylvania.
