Horstman’s On the Move in Lake City is once again partnering with the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program to bring holiday cheer to children in need. The annual campaign encourages local businesses to host toy collection boxes, challenging customers to fill them with gifts for less fortunate families.
This year’s celebration will take place on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Chico’s Travelers Inn in Fairview, PA. The event will feature a DJ, family-friendly activities, and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus at 6:00 p.m., followed by the Marines arriving around 7:00 p.m. to collect the donated toys.
Over the past two years, the campaign has collected more than 900 toys, with last year’s total reaching about 800. This year, 19 local businesses are participating, and some have already filled multiple boxes. Organizers hope to surpass previous totals and keep the magic of Christmas alive for children in need.
