PITTSBURGH — A local college student said she had a terrifying encounter when she returned to her apartment and a half-naked man was in her bedroom.

“Pittsburgh has been pretty safe, so that’s why we didn’t expect something like this happening,” Ahana Agrawal told Channel 11.

Ahana Agrawal is getting her master’s degree at CMU. Yesterday morning, she got home from giving a presentation, and was surprised to find her bedroom door locked.

“I could hear a man’s voice inside, so then I asked him to open the door. It was just happening in front of me. He opened the door, and he looked very suspicious and dangerous,” she said

When he opened the door, police say he was naked from the waist down, standing near the victim’s bed.

Investigators tell Channel 11, the man’s name is Malki Miles.

“I was scared that he might be armed or something,” she said.

Miles put his pants back on, then walked out the front door. Officers showed up moments later and took him into custody. When they searched him, they found drugs and two crack pipes.

Now, the victim and her roommates are asking their landlord for extra security at their home.

“We asked the owner to barricade the windows. That would be nice because, honestly, I’m not feeling that safe in this area. One of my roommates is not sleeping here anymore,” she said.

The suspect is being held in the Allegheny County Jail and is facing several charges.
