ALLENTOWN, Pa. – At Coca-Cola Park, the dogs are stealing the spotlight. Lights and Leashes allows people to come through, walk around with their dogs, and enjoy the lights.
Everywhere you look; wagging tails, light displays and families strolling through the park.
Anthony Daniel brought his dog Rocky, “He’s enjoying his first light experience, so it’s going to be fun tonight.”
For many pet owners, tonight is all about making holiday memories with the whole family… furry members included.
“I had friends who came last year who talked very highly about it, and then I saw the day of dog night, so it saves me from having to get a dog sitter, and it’s also good enrichment for her,” Steph Deibler says, “Anytime you can include them in doing things, I think it’s great.”
Lights & Leashes has become a popular part of Illumination, giving dog lovers a chance to experience a holiday attraction with their four-legged friends in mind.
“We do a lot of events that allow dogs, and it’s Christmas and Christmas lights, and he loves the socialization,” Jillian Heymach says.
Guests and their pets could meet Santa, ride on the train, and walk the field.
“He loves the lights. He’s a good boy, actually,” Heymach added. “He’ll sit for me, he’ll turn and he’ll sit, and we got lots of pictures in front of the trees.”
If you missed the chance to bring your pup out, you’re in luck. There’s two more times, December 17th and 30th when you can bring them out to enjoy the lights.
