RECEIVE THEM FOR THEIR CHAMPIONSHIP RALLY. NOW, WHAT THEY DID. THE CITY HAS BLOCKED OFF THE 400 BLOCK OF GRANT GRANT STREET. AND THEY SET UP THIS STAGE HERE AT THE CORNER OF FORBES AVENUE AND GRANT. AND THERE YOU CAN SEE SOME OF THE LOYAL FANS GATHERED HERE TO SUPPORT THEM IN THIS RALLY. AND THE SOCCER TEAM IS UP ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE OF THE STAGE. NOW, I SPOKE WITH A NUMBER OF THE FANS EARLIER. A LOT OF THEM ARE SEASON TICKET HOLDERS. SOME HAVE BEEN COMING SINCE THE INCEPTION OF THE FRANCHISE 26 YEARS AGO, AND ONE PERSON DESCRIBED THE TEAM AS ONE OF GRIT AND DETERMINATION, AND THEY NEVER GIVE UP FIGHTING. AND THAT’S THE HALLMARK OF THEIR CHAMPIONSHIP PEDIGREE. ANOTHER FAN SAYS THAT THERE’S NEVER A DULL MOMENT AT A RIVERHOUNDS GAME BECAUSE THEY ENTERTAINED THE CROWD FROM BEGINNING TO END. SO THIS IS A CELEBRATION FOR THE RIVERHOUNDS, WINNING THEIR FIRST EVER USL CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE FOLLOWING THEIR EASTERN CONFERENCE FINAL VICTORY AND SHOOTOUT WIN OVER TULSA IN THE USL CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL.
