The Blueberry Festival returns to Bethlehem this weekend for its 38th year, bringing an expanded array of blueberry-themed treats and family activities to Burnside Plantation.
Organized by the nonprofit Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites (HBMS), this year’s festival will feature what organizers describe as “the most blueberry sweets and treats in the event’s history,” running from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, July 19-20 at 1461 Schoenersville Road.

Food takes center stage at the festival, with several vendors offering creative blueberry-infused specialties. The Taste Budz, making its festival debut, will feature a sweet and savory blueberry grilled cheese sandwich. The Easton-based food truck will also offer pulled pork slow-cooked in blueberry sangria topped with blueberry barbecue sauce.
DonutNV returns with made-to-order mini-donuts in blueberry flavors including blueberry cobbler, blueberry lemon, and blueberry glazed. The Rolling Brew, another newcomer, will serve handcrafted drinks including blueberry matcha and blueberry lime refresher.
Other food vendors include festival favorite Taco Town; Aroi Mango, appearing July 20 only and specializing in the iconic Thai dessert Mango Sticky Rice; Thirst Trap Lemonade and Pasta Eva.

The popular Market to Go will offer its largest selection of blueberry desserts yet, including traditional favorites like pies, coffee cake, strudel, sugar cookies, and blueberry swirl ice cream from the Bethlehem Dairy Store. New additions include crullers and gluten-free blueberry lemon mini-cakes. Visitors can order desserts at historicbethlehem.org for pickup on July 18 from 3-7 p.m. or during the festival.
Beyond food, the festival offers numerous family activities including live music, Colonial cooking and candle-making demonstrations, blueberry pie-eating contests, and Colonial games. Children can participate in the History Quest Scavenger Hunt, enjoy pony rides, visit a petting zoo, and take part in the “Artifact Challenge,” a matching game identifying 18th-century objects.
Families can also explore a new display of 18th and 19th-century farming equipment in the Johnson Barn, tour the Burnside home, and visit the Burnside Gardens. The Story Doctor will present interactive storytelling on the festival’s community stage at 11:30 a.m. both days.
For those looking to showcase their baking skills, the Great Bethlehem Blueberry Baking Contest welcomes entries from children and adults. Winners will receive prizes from King Arthur Flour. Kids’ division winners will be announced July 19 at 2:30 p.m., and adult division winners on July 20 at 2:30 p.m. Visit historicbethlehem.org for further details and registration information.
Adults can enjoy the Tavern Tent, where patrons can sample beers and spirits from Banko Beverage and local breweries and distilleries. Tickets for the Tavern Tent, which include festival admission, are $25.
