AARP NEPA Chapter 3731 recently hosted guest speaker Scott Thomas, CEO of the Scranton Public Library, right, at its fall membership meeting. He spoke on the “Ten things you didn’t know about the Scranton Public Library.” Topics covered were free membership cards that can be used at all Lackawanna public libraries, available video games, jigsaw puzzles and board games, books in different languages, e-books, laptop and cellphone instruction, children’s puppet shows, free home delivery services, craft swaps, adult gaming clubs, open poetry readings, free film screenings and available mobile library services.
