Owner of stolen box truck chases after thief in Downtown Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh Public Safety said the owner of a stolen box truck in Downtown Pittsburgh chased the person who stole his vehicle and even caught up with that person at a red light.The incident happened a little before 1 p.m. Thursday.Investigators said the owner of the box truck had gotten out to make a delivery and later watched someone drive off with the vehicle.That owner ran after the vehicle, caught up with it at a red light, and then began to fight the person who was behind the wheel.Investigators said the thief then allegedly rammed the truck into nearby trees and almost hit a pedestrian.No one was hurt.Pittsburgh Public Safety said charges are pending.
