READING, Pa. – The Berks County Latino Chamber of Commerce will host the city’s 4th annual Puerto Rican Day parade Sunday.
Organizers say the celebration of Puerto Rican culture will be a day filled with colorful parades, lively music, delicious food and a sense of unity and community spirit.
The parade, featuring floats, traditional costumes and dancers, kicks off Sunday at 11th and Penn Streets at 11 a.m.
Following the parade, festivities will continue at 5th and Penn Streets with live music, authentic Puerto Rican cuisine, arts and crafts vendors and family-friendly activities.
The Reading Parking Authority is providing free parking from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the following gateless garages:
4th and Cherry Garage: 29 South 4th Street
South Penn Garage: 626 Cherry Street
Chiarelli Plaza Garage: North 3rd & Washington Street
Reed & Court Garage: 666 Court Street
