Reading announces seasonal change to yard waste pickup beginning in January

Reading officials have announced a change to yard waste pickup for the winter months.

Due to the low volume of bagged yard waste during January, February and March, yard waste in the following areas will be picked up on Wednesdays only: 18th Ward, east Reading, Glenside, Hampden Heights, Hessian Camp, northeast Reading, Northmont, northwest Reading, Riverdale and south of Penn Street.

Residents should call the streets division at 610-655-6285 or the city call center at 877-727-3234 to schedule yard waste collection.
