MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin once had two marquee non-conference games on its 2026 schedule.
It’s now one.
Instead of hosting Pittsburgh on Sept. 19, the Badgers will now take on Eastern Michigan in week three of the college football season.
The Badgers are still slated to face the Panthers in 2027 in Dublin, Ireland. The two schools have met three times previously. Pitt owns the all-time series 3-0. The two teams haven’t played since 1967, however.
Wisconsin has a 4-0 record all-time against Eastern Michigan. The two schools recently played in 2021. The Badgers rolled to a 34-7 victory at Camp Randall Stadium.
UW will open up the 2026 season against Notre Dame on Sept. 6 at Lambeau Field in Green Bay. The following week, the Badgers host FCS Western Illinois.
The Big Ten Conference schedule will be announced at a later date. It is known that UW will host Michigan State, Rutgers, Minnesota, and USC. The Badgers will travel to Iowa, Maryland, Penn State, Purdue, and UCLA.
Future Non-Conference Schedules
Wisconsin still has numerous intriguing non-conference games lined up over the next several seasons. The Badgers also have a series set with Virginia Tech in 2031 and 2032. The return game with Utah isn’t slated to take place until 2033.
