Annual cut-a-thon: Women’s Resource Center’s 34th annual Santa’s Snippers Walk-In Cut-A-Thon, Sunday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. (last walk-ins at 1 p.m.), Career Technology Center of Lackawanna County, 3201 Rockville Ave., Scranton; haircuts for $15. Enjoy free photos with special guests, Santa and Mrs. Claus, thanks to the support of professional designers of Chippy White Table. Proceeds go directly to support WRC’s mission to provide critical resources for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Food sale: St. John’s Russian Orthodox Cathedral homemade bread, kolachi and cookie sale for the holidays, Dec. 23, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., St. John’s Center, Hill Street, Mayfield. Homemade bread (plain or with raisins) will be sold along with homemade nut, poppyseed, lekvar and apricot kolachi. Breads are $8 each and kolachi are $12 each. Homemade cookies will be sold at $12/box. Cookies will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Bread, kolachi and pierogi orders can be placed by calling Mott (570-335-2128), Sandy (570-876-3576) or the rectory (570-876-0730). Along with the baked goods, homemade pierogies (frozen, uncooked) will be sold for $12/dozen. Reminder for those who placed orders at St. John’s Christmas Bazaar that pickup will be Dec. 23, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. If you did not place an order at the Christmas bazaar, the deadline for orders is Dec. 18. Call Mott, Sandy or the rectory no later than Dec. 18.

Christmas concert: The Keystone College Department of Performance Music will host its Winter Holiday Concert on Sunday at 7 p.m. in the Theatre in Brooks Hall on the campus in La Plume. This family-friendly event is free and open to the public.
Scranton
Walkable labyrinth: The walkable Labyrinth at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 550 Madison Ave., will be available Wednesday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m-2 p.m. and 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Sawtelle Auditorium. The public is invited.
Wyoming Valley
Christmas concert: Orpheus Choral Society of the Wyoming Valley Christmas concert, Dec. 14, 3 p.m., St. John the Evangelist Church, 35 William St., Pittston. The choir is under the direction of Gabriel Jenceleski and accompanied on piano by Susan Lauer. A free-will offering will be accepted.
