The Upper Darby girls basketball team took home the Pottsgrove Tip-Off Tournament championship for a second year in a row Saturday afternoon with a 35-33 win over the host Falcons.
Cameron Ross led a balanced effort with 10 points, five steals and four assists. Rebecca Jean-Baptiste controlled the glass with six points, 12 rebounds and two blocks. Janay Haye added seven points and seven rebounds, while Mia Wilson chipped in six points, two assists and a steal for the Royals (2-0).
In other nonleague action:
Radnor 42, West Chester East 39 >> Nyah Yao accumulated 19 points, seven rebounds, four assists and four steals as the Raptors bested the Vikings in overtime.
Breen Simpson added eight points. Caroline Quinn finished with six points, 11 rebounds and three blocks.
Lutheran Prep (Wis.) 73, Archbishop Carroll 49 >> The Patriots (1-2) were outscored 27-16 in the second half after leading by a point at the break.
Alexis Eberz paced three Carroll players in double figures with 21 points. Kayla Eberz had 15 points and Abbie McFillin supplied 10.
Frankford 52, Academy Park 31 >> Sianna Perkins scored a team-high 13 points for the Knights, who were outscored 24-4 in the third quarter. Saiyda Harper added eight points.
Boys Basketball
Kayron Kinney caught fire Saturday, pouring in 33 points to lead Chichester to a 63-28 win over Collegium Charter in the consolation game of the Eagles’ tip-off tournament.
The senior guard was flawless from the floor and missed just one free throw. He also added eight rebounds, three assists and three steals. Will Bronson chipped in 12 points for the Eagles.

Upper Darby 56, Great Valley 48 >> The Royals (2-0) jumped out to an 18-7 lead after the first quarter and never looked back.
Jude Ennis buried four 3-pointers to lead UD with 14 points. Marlon Boreland chipped in with 12 points.
Haverford 56, Sun Valley 45 >> Jamie Haskell scored 16 of his game-high 18 points in the first half to lift the Fords. Andrew Brown added 15 points and 10 rebounds.
Jahmil Smith led the Vanguards with 15 points.
Garnet Valley 46, Unionville 39 >> Grayson Golek and Mason Koperna each scored 15 points as the Jaguars picked up their first win of the season and first for coach Jack Diggory.
Hill School 53, Haverford School 51 >> Silas Graham poured in 22 points, but Haverford School fell in the Don McBride Classic final. Dillon Gamble chipped in 10 points for the Fords.
Marple Newtown 64, Avon Grove 34 >> Mike Rush scored 12 of his game-high 17 points in the first half as the Tigers took control early. Jack Dean paired 13 points with six rebounds and three assists. Jackson Burger had nine points and seven rebounds.
Episcopal Academy 56, C.R. North 51 >> Timmy Dennis and Gage Cunningham scored 10 points each as the Churchmen had eight players score in the win. Wynton Foster and Reggie King contributed nine points each.
Springfield 55, Downingtown East 38 >> TJ Valletti led the way with 16 points, Peter Altes tossed in 12 and Tom Toomey added 10 for Springfield.
Wrestling
Amanveer Singh scored a technical fall at 114 pounds to spark Marple Newtown to a 41-31 nonleague win over Academy Park Friday.
The Tigers rolled with falls from Nathan Meehan at 121, Jackson Evans at 133, Nick Paytas at 145 and George Tahopoulos at 189.
Academy Park received back-to-back major decisions from Dembele Mekhi (160) and Mamood Kamara (172). Joel Omo Osagie added a technical fall at 215 pounds.
